For most kids, the holiday season is a time of joy and expectation. Many, if not most, children throughout our state, will likely wake up to find some presents under the Christmas tree. However, for foster children in Indiana, many may experience disappointment and dashed hopes. We want to help change that.
Making the Season Brighter
This year, we’re partnering with Resources of Hope Inc., an organization that is “dedicated to providing resources to meet the physical and emotional needs of foster youth living in Central Indiana.”
Did you know that, on any given day in our country, there are more than 500,000 children in foster care? According to the organization, Indiana ranks fourth in our country with nearly 30,000 kids in the foster system.
Here’s how we want to help:
At our clinic, we’re holding a toy and PJ drive now through November 30!
You can give hope this holiday season to foster children ages 0-17 in Central Indiana by donating the following unwrapped items:
- New toys
- New pajamas
- $25 gift cards for teens
We have a big box in our waiting room this month to collect toys and pajamas.
Thanks for Opening Your Hearts to Those in Need
We are so grateful to have so many awesome patients and staff with generous hearts. Last year we raised $3,000 for a local foster and adoption ministry. Earlier this year we held a canned food drive. Over 330 pounds of food were donated. Thank you to all who participated in that food drive.
And thank you in advance for opening your hearts again this year to help area children in foster care. Your generosity will provide a happier holiday season for these kids!
